IBM's EDA department refuses to do***ent the format even for internal
use.
Rather they have created a C (or C++?) library for accessing
AET2 trace files.
So you got calls to read and write AET2 files, and for accessing waves.

This library is the way anyone is supposed to use AET2 files.
And of course, it is IBM internal use only, as far as I know.
