I'm located in Indiana.  But the guy I've been dealing with (the same 
one I dealt with a few years back) now works more in technical sup****t 
than sales.  I told him about what I heard here, and he admitted that it 
could be the case.  Now that he's in sup****t, he said he's not always up 
on the latest happenings.

He did say at one time they had seriously talked about getting away from 
trials - at least not without a demo first - because it wasn't very 
effective.  They found that a lot of users were only doing a superficial 
review of the product and coming away with some wrong conclusions on 
what the software could (or could not) do as a result.  Nevertheless, I 
can't imagine someone spending this kind of money without having spent 
some one-on-one time with it.

But I don't want to give the wrong impression.  The guy I've been 
talking with seems pretty good. I think there's still some confusion (or 
lack of communication) within Siemens on this.  He and his sales partner 
are going to talk to them though to see if they can my package approved, 
and I think they'll make an honest effort at it.  We'll see.
