Check with PTC. I heard, at one point, that it was possible to transfer
licenses, plus maintenance and sup****t. If you can get a pro-rated deal,
why
not!?! I know of no legal barriers, so maybe it's the market.... i.e., PTC
gambling on making more from you as a new customer than as a buyin, second
hand 'customer'. If they were smart, which they historically have not been
when money was tight and sales highly competitive, they'd ease you into
the
fold (any way they could), into buying their products, into building up
the
legacy data, into expanding your capability, into staying with maintenance
and sup****t programs, etc. Much depends on how hard/soft their sales are.
