You just need to give Photoshop a profile for your display, and it will
adapt its presentation of images accordingly. It uses CIE-Lab for its
native representation, which can easily accommodate the gamut of any RGB
display. Have a look at the colour management settings; they're quite
extensive.
The last thing I want is for an app to mess with system settings like my
display adjustments: whatever it does should be confined to its own
windows.
