how to get the level name or number of an element?

I'm busy by making a routine to turn off the global display off a level
by picking the element.
For the good order. I do not want to put a level off. There for is the
keyin: levelmanager level off byelem.
No I want the global level off.

With the statement "levelNumber = element.level" I get a number that's
not the level number as displayed in the levelmanager.

I want to give the keyin:

        MbeSendCommand "LEVEL SET DISPLAY OFF FILE:ALL " +
Cstr(levelNumber) + ";POINT AB"

But therefore I need or the levelname or the number as displayed in the
levelmanager.
