You're talking about telemarketing, when the company calls you.
The OP is talking about when you call a company for technical sup****t
and you realize that they person taking your call is somewhere else in
the world.
Personally, I don't have a problem with this. If people in those
countries can buy products and services from my country, then free
trade works both ways.
I have called Dell three times in the past year and a half, and spoken
to two techs in India and one in the Phillippines. The technicians
had almost no accent, and the phone connection was excellent.
