I got a good chuckle back at Haas. I was researching the concept for
them of design thru manufacture. Selfish me brings in Siemens (NX and
Teamcenter products) for a demo. My boss (who loves to pontificate
about the greatness of Haas) exclaims to the rep that Haas is a $700
million company and TELLS him we don't pay for software (hence
Mastercam being there now). He then follows up with, "What kind of
market cap is the UGS segment. The rep says $32... (long pause)
Billion.
<ggg>
Btw, the engineers gave a audible gasp when they saw a design change
flowed down from engineering to programming using Teamcenter. Alas,
they now hand code or piece meal posted code using various methods.
