ADT created shapes which was the area of rooms. Each shape was a
room. Many shapes were connected to a zone. When I created shapes
and zones I was able to use gbxml to ex****t the information to an
energy program. The ex****ted database told me the areas of the rooms
and the volumes of the rooms (I had specfied the floor to ceiling
height). The database also told me that I had say 2 windows of a
specific type and doors that were a specific type. It could have told
me that my walls were made of brick. All of these parameters are
useful to determine the amount of energy that my rooms would be
using. Therefore in Revit, what must I do to get the area of the
rooms and which rooms might be grouped together.
