Compound walls

by skeptix@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (Josh) Apr 14, 2004 at 11:52 AM

I have not yet found a clear or satisfactory answer to the following
question.
I have a wall that is compound vertically - that is, a stud wall with
sheathing and brick veneer up to a certain height, and above that is
an EIFS system. Now the problem is the thickness of the ****tion of
the wall with the EIFS does not match the thickness of the ****tion
with the brick veneer. In the wall type editor, I have not had any
success editing the wall to reflect this type of condition, so I have
had to resort to stacking one wall on top of another...which gets
irritating as I get deeper into the project and have to start editing
walls and openings and such. I know this is a very common type of
condition, and I prefer to show accurate representations of the wall
types I draw.
What am I missing? Keep in mind my office has only just begun using
this software, so I don't have a large base of knowledge here to work
from.
