Make sure that the wall has not been attached to anything (like a roof) =
or layers will not stretch up or down.

Hoover over the top of the wall, near the segment you unlocked. Hit =
TAB until just the top line of the unlocked segment highlights, the =
click-n-drag it down.

    Thanks,=20
I have drawn the wall, and am viewing it in section: how do you =
select the wall layers to do this. If you clik on the wall, the whole =
wall including all the layers highlights, there doesn't seem to be a way =
to edit these wall layers like with the edit wall profile tool. Can =
this be done...
    [1] draw the wall
    [2] cut a section
[3] pull the top or bottom of the wall layers up or down

Steve, there are a couple of ways. You can assign a value to it =
under the properties dialog box, it should be under bottom extension =
distance or top extension distance. You can also align to another =
object, select what you want to align to and then put your cursor at the =
base or top of the wall and tab through until you select the layers you =
want to stretch.=20

When you edit a wall to unlock the top and bottom of a layer, =
how do/can you stretch that layer up or down? Example: you want to pull =
the drywall layer of a wall up or down above its top of wall in section. =
