Cadvance is not a better choice for 3d modelling.
Cadvance is much better at quick and easy traditional drawing, 
architecture and facility management, but 3D is limited to surface 
modelling, pretty adequate for many needs, but certainly not 3D volumes 
(although I have made some impressive 3D models with it, but all based 
on heavy manipulation of 2D entities and assembly of them into 
objects). There are (nearly) no 3D primitives other than lines and 
faces.
