CADKEY 99 R1.x
Asks for PW but you don't need it to install or to run as full product
CADKEY 99 R2.x
Uses flexlm licensing. You need the license file supplied by your VAR
or by CK Corp, now Kubotek USA, to run the program. When CK 99 R2 was
first released the license files supplied for it were tied to pieces
of hardware. I believe this changed just before the release of CK19
and while not advertised, the files needed only be present on the
computer and no longer searched for hardware ID's. If you have a late
CK99 license file or even any CK19 license file you should be able to
get CK99 R2.x up and running on any machine. If you have an early CK99
license file you will need to install on a computer that uses the
hardware identified by the file. This is a network card by default but
hard drive ID is the most common substitution. If the file searches
for your hard drive and that got trashed in the crash you'll need a
new file. Contact Kubotek customer service for that. Contact info is
available at their old www.cadkey.com website.
Can't find your license file?
Search your e-mails. The files were generally provided to users as an
e-mail attachment. The text could have a .lic or .txt extension. If
the extension is .txt you need to change it to .lic
Check old faxes. Some customers received license files as faxed text.
The text needs to be copied into an ASCII text file saved with the
..lic extension.
If you have your contract, order or serial numbers for the product
check the cadkey.com website. Your license file may be in a database
available on-line.
If your hardware is intact but you still can't find the license file
you'll need to contact Kubotek or your VAR for a new one.
