What about value engineering? Do you tell make allowances for
redrawing a job after the bids came back too high and many devices
have to be removed and systems reworked?

What about reduced fee jobs to get a customer to sample you're work
before he chooses a competitor?

We do the above all the time at my full time job. The customer that
has never used you before knows nothing about you except perhaps word
of mouth, once you get the customer its the work you do that will keep
him. Not the fee.

Assuming the work was quality.
