Hello, I have two PCs installed with Archicad which are attached to a =
network with a Novell NetWare 6.5 server using NSS volumes.
PC1 has XP Pro with Archicad v8.1 and saves and retrieves Archicad data =
files to both the server volume its local hard drive OK without any =
problems.
PC2 has Win2K with both Archicad v8.1 & Archicad v7 installed, but on this
=
machine files from both versions of Archicad will only save to it's own =
local hard disk. Files cannot be saved to the server volume.
Worse still, using this PC2, having retrieved a file from the server to =
work with on, the original file gets deleted from the server when I try to
=
resave it !
Both the .PLN and the .BPN backup files get deleted too !
Data files created by other applications such as Word & Excel save and =
retrieve from the network quite normally with no problems, it's
just the Archicad files which appear to be empty.
The same user with the same permissions is logging into each PC, both of =
which are using the Novell client v4.91=20
If anyone has experienced a similar problem, or is aware of a solution, =
constructive comments would be much appreciated.
