The internet's a good start, there are sites like 3d Cafe, Turbosquid etc
that have info, tutorials etc. Another thing, when you've been through a
tutorial, play around with the concepts you learnt in it "what happens if

do this" is a healthy approach.

If I'm reading you right, press Alt+B to get up Veiw****t Background and
tick
Display Background
