yes, did something similar to this by converting the Max file to NURBS
format, using Rhino (couldn't get Max Nurbs to work), then im****ting to
various solid modelling programs.
in my case i just wanted one slice, not a whole bunch. similar
technique, though.
a fair amount of work. need a pretty fast CPU & a fair amount of RAM
to make it work.
